Description: Participation in mountain biking has risen dramatically over the past few years and has resulted in increased numbers of bikers in Forest Park.  But the demand is not currently being met with the current biking network, resulting in user conflicts and other problems.  Can Forest Park help serve that need?  Join members of local mountain bike groups to discuss different types of off-road cycling, current opportunities and potential expansion of the riding network in the Park.  Ride will be approximately 10 miles and will be taken at a moderate pace.

Cost: $10 (free for members of The Forest Park Conservancy)

Pre-registration is required for all participants. Enrollment will be limited to 12 participants, and space filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Click here to sign up for this and other Discovery hikes.

Ride leader bio: Tom Archer is a founding member of PDX-MTB, the Portland Mountain Bike Alliance and a member of PUMP, the Portland United Mountain Peddlers, Portland’s oldest mountain Bike Club.
