TRAILS PROGRAM

The Forest Park Conservancy leads volunteer trail crews and raises over $100,000 annually to manage and toolpileimprove Forest Park's impressive trail system. Beginning in 2007, Friends of Forest Park employs a Trail Program Manager to coordinate trail projects with AmeriCorps crews and volunteers.

Remember the landslide at mile marker 14.5 on the Wildwood Trail, or the Maple Trail damage from the 2005-6 winter? Thank the Forest Park Conservancy and our trail crew leader for the trail repair. We also arrange for new trail projects in Forest Park. In 2006, we completed two new project: the Firelane 5 Extension (mountain biking) and the Cannon Trail.
