Support FPC by going paperless with NW Natural
Northwest Natural is giving away $25,000 to four Portland area nonprofits; one being the Forest Park Conservancy! Gas customers can decide which group gets the most money, but only if you vote in an online contest. The funds will be allocated among the four organizations, in proportion to votes received.
NW Natural says if all its customers switch to paperless billing, the effort would save 366,000 pounds of paper from bills and envelopes, 73,000 therms of energy used in the paper making process, and would avoid the release of 1.5 million pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere from processing paper.
To cast your vote, a NW Natural commercial or residential customer must be enrolled in paperless billing at nwnatural.com by 5 p.m., May 18. And, we ask that you cast your vote for the Forest Park Conservancy to personally help ensure the health of the 5,100 acre gem. Portland's Forest Park is vital to our region's clean air, clean water, access to nature and outdoor recreation. To learn more about Forest Park and the Conservancy, click here.
