Thanks to our supporters, our accomplishments and organization continue to grow. Here is a small snapshot of the important work we have done and will continue because of you!
Remain steadfast in breaking down barriers that prevent access to Forest Park and commit to increasing opportunities for people from all walks of life to feel safe, welcome, and connect to Forest Park through FPC’s programs.
Develop ongoing training opportunities to improve the skill set of our volunteer leaders, staff, and board to recognize, interrupt, and resolve racist, harmful behavior in Forest Park.
Restore 20 acres in the Balch Creek Watershed.
Plant 900 native plants in Forest Park to improve ecosystem health.
Begin focused stewardship work on 5 acres in FPC’s Ancient Forest Preserve to improve ecosystem health using Indigenous land stewardship practices.
Connect with 30 private landowners living adjacent to Forest Park to offer resources and education as part of our ongoing efforts to protect Forest Park from wildfire.
Host 66 volunteer work parties.
- Recruit and train 1,208 volunteers.
Rake 28 miles and brush 32 miles of trail.
Grow our Independent Volunteer Program to have 2 volunteers trained for every soft-surface trail in Forest Park.
Develop 4 professional career tracks that allow participants in our Green Workforce Development Program to gain more specialized, relevant experience in their career field.
