The Conservancy

The mission of Forest Park Conservancy is to protect and restore Portland's forests for wildlife and people. 

Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park are magical places that we are so lucky to have access to in Portland. Forest Park Conservancy exists to support these parks and the thousands of individuals who visit them every year. Our work protects these parks, makes them more accessible, connects people with nature, and more. Additionally, we recognize that these parks are not islands, and work to steward forests beyond the borders of these parks to support the larger ecosystem. By doing all of this, we can better protect and restore these parks with the help of our community.

While Forest Park Conservancy works closely with Portland Parks & Recreation, we do not receive our funding from them. The majority of our work is funded by individual donors and assisted by volunteers. If you would like to support our work, consider becoming a donor or volunteering with us.
