The Future of Work is Green: Mentorship Opportunity for Professionals

Forest Park ConservancyUncategorized

Be a champion to one of our 2021 Green Jobs Program Interns! You can help empower the next generation of diverse leaders by supporting young BIPOC Interns looking to begin their careers in the green economy.

About the Green Jobs Training and Internship Program

The Green Jobs Training and Internship Program is a workforce development program hosted by the Forest Park Conservancy in the form of a 1-year paid internship opportunity for BIPOC young adults between 18-26 years old with interest in pursuing a career or higher education on the restoration, natural resources, and conservation fields. Through this program, the Interns will be learning while doing, shadowing experienced professionals from Forest Park Conservancy (FPC), Columbia Land Trust, and West Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District.

About Green Jobs Champions

Champions will play a critical role in strengthening the Interns experience; be part of an expanded support network for Interns to develop personally and professionally, and collaborate with FPC and partners to identify and address potential challenges, and obstacles the Interns are facing to succeed.

It is FPC and its partners hope that the Intern and their champion can develop and nurture a long term relationship that outlives the Internship program, and that will support them on their personal and professional lives.

FPC and its partners will provide support to the champions for the program’s duration, facilitating access to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training, literature, and other resources.
