Forest Park Nature Adventure

About the Guide:

The Forest Park Nature Adventure  is a scavenger hunt-style activity guide that brings you along on a fun adventure out on the trails. If you have never been to Forest Park, don’t worry about knowing your way around! This guide provides maps for trail routes that were chosen with families with elementary-aged children in mind. It includes native plant ID information, different plants and sights you can find on the trails, and useful tips for new trail users. You can see a couple examples of these on the side (or at the bottom of the page on mobile)!

Go on an adventure on the Lower Macleay, Upper BPA, or Cannon Trails and use the adventure guide to learn all about these areas of Forest Park! You and your kids can learn about life on the forest floor, native flora and fauna, human history in the park, how to use your "trail eyes" to identify things in the forest, trail tips, and more!

Each illustrated map also comes with activity prompts to apply what you have learned and get creative.
