Join our Rapid Response Program

Forest Park ConservancyUncategorized

With more than 80 miles of trail in Forest Park, maintaining the park’s health requires a special group of volunteers consistently monitoring and reporting conditions on the ground. FPC’s Rapid Response Team is made up of volunteers who walk, hike, and run the trails to report downed trees, invasive species, and other trail issues throughout the summer and winter.

We need your help, particularly during the winter when inclement weather is at its worst! If you’re interested in helping us protect the trails and providing the fastest maintenance and support to Forest Park possible, become a member of our Rapid Response Team!

To become a Rapid Responder, please attend our next training on November 9th. New Rapid Responders will be trained on all the basics of the program, and by the end of the training will be able to identify and report problems on the trails.

Where: 833 SW 11th Suite 228: the conference room on the 2nd floor of our office building.

When: Saturday, November 9th, 10:00am – 12:30pm. Please note that there will be a 15-20 minute break mid-training, and it’s possible we may finish slightly early.

If you have any questions regarding the training, please contact our Stewardship and Trails Coordinator Tyler Ellis
