Earth Day is Fast Approaching! To celebrate, we have set up various ways for you to join us, both on and off the trails, to appreciate, celebrate, and give back to Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park throughout April. No matter how you join us, we are excited to celebrate Earth Month with you and our community!
- Earth Day Work Parties: To celebrate Earth Day, we will be hosting multiple work parties on Saturday, April 25th! There will be three work sites with options for volunteering in both Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park. We will be working to remove invasive species like English ivy from the parks in order to restore the local ecosystem and make space for native plants.

- Can’t make it? We have additional work parties scheduled throughout April!
- Free Hikes in Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park: As part of our Nature Education Program, we will be hosting two free guided hikes in April! These hikes will be led by long-time Backyard Habitat Certification Program techs who have a lot of experience with our forests. During both hikes, we will be exploring the trails and observing the fresh spring flowers and the local birds that call these parks home. While these events are free, you must sign up in advance!
- Wild for the Woods 2026: On Thursday, April 16th, we will be hosting our second annual Wild for the Woods! This is our annual spring fundraiser, where we raise funds to support our work in the parks. It will be a night of celebration, good company, and excellent food and drinks!

- Shop at KEEN Garage and Give Back to FPC: To celebrate Earth Week, KEEN will host a store activation from April 15–22, donating 15% of each purchase from the KEEN Garage to support FPC’s work—up to $2,500.

- PAE for joining us on Earth Day to lead a company restoration work party, where PAE employees will provide hands-on support in our forests!
- And finally, a big thank you to Voodoo Doughnut and Equal Exchange for helping us celebrate our community volunteers. They’ll be providing delicious donuts and coffee at our public work parties on April 25th!
