Earth Day 2026 Recap

Forest Park ConservancyUncategorized

Another Earth Day has come and gone! Thanks to the help of experienced and new volunteers alike, we had an amazing Earth Day weekend! On Earth Day Weekend, we gathered volunteers into Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park in order to remove invasive plants like English ivy and perform trail maintenance.

Between four sites in Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park, we:

  • Engaged over 100 volunteers,
  • removed invasive English ivy and Himalayan blackberry from ~7,500 sq ft of forest, and
  • benched and widened 600 ft of the Wildwood Trail!

Thanks again to everyone who was able to join us! If you want to join us on the trails, brushing season has just begun! Click here to view our upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Big thanks to this year’s Earth Day supporters!
