Forest Park Conservancy is teaming up with Sparrowhawk Native Plants to host a fall native plant sale in NW Portland! Together, we’re offering 115 species of habitat-friendly native plants while raising up to $5,000 to support Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park!
Here’s how the sale will work:
- Online preordering begins on August 17th at 9 a.m. on Sparrowhawk’s website. Before the sale starts, you will want to build your wishlist in advance. Popular plants sell out fast, so you will want to be ready on the day of the sale!
There will be around 115 species of premium-quality native plants for sale. These plants are climate-resilient and will support local pollinators and wildlife!
- While checking out online, you can set up a time to pick-up your order in October. When you select the Montgomery Park pop-up location (Friday, October 17th to Saturday, October 18th), a portion of the proceeds, up to $5,000, will go to supporting Forest Park Conservancy!
However, if our pop-up date doesn’t work for you, you can always go to another pop-up. These pop-ups will be supporting other organizations in the area, namely North Clackamas Watersheds Council, Friends of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, Oregon Chinese Coalition, and Verde!
- On October 17th/18th, you will stop by at your selected date and time and pick up your plants!
To get in on this community-centric plant sale, go to Sparrowhawk’s website today and get your wishlist started! Preorders will open at 9 a.m. on August 17th and run to September 14th. It is a great way to help fund FPC’s work while also supporting the local ecology in your own backyard!
A big thank you to Sparrowhawk Native Plants for this amazing partnership opportunity that supports our work to protect and care for our urban forests!
