National Trails Day is an annual event held on the first Saturday of June to celebrate all public trails. This includes those in our favorite city parks, like Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park! We’ve got a few things planned to celebrate, so we hope you’ll join us to celebrate the trails we all love.
National Trails Day on NW 23rd Ave
We are partnering with local businesses along NW 23rd Ave to support Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park. This Saturday, you can join us on NW 23rd Ave to shop and eat at local businesses, become a member, and share in our love for Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park!
Stop by Pepino’s Fresh Mexican Grill, they will be donating 10% of their sales to FPC!
While you are there, become a member (with a minimum donation of $45 to FPC) and you’ll be entered into multiple raffles for great prizes donated by local NW 23rd businesses!
Thank you to Pepino’s and all the other businesses that are supporting us on NW 23rd: Budd + Finn, Paxton Gate, Hip Hound, Portland Leather Goods, The Meadow, Boxer Ramen, Zupan’s Markets, and Arc’Teryx.
National Trails Day in Forest Park
Want to really get your hands dirty? Join us in Forest Park for a volunteer work party! We’re in the beginning stages of our brushing season, where we brush the trails to remove excess vegetation and debris to keep our trails clear and accessible. It’s easy and pretty relaxing work, so come join us out on the trails!
Trails 101 Workshop
Looking to learn more about the basics of trail work? We’re hosting a free Trails 101 Workshop to teach you all about how we work with rocks, dirt, drains, and more on the trails. This is a great opportunity for any of you looking to learn more about trail management! Want to join? Click here to sign up.
