Enchanted Woods: The Art of Forest Bathing, June 8, 2024 (Lower Macleay Park)

This is a sign-up for a basket-weaving course in Forest Park.

When: Sunday, February 11th, 2024 from 9am – 11am.

Where: Lower Macleay Park (Parking is limited, carpooling is encouraged!)

What: Join Lise Gervais, a basket-weaving instructor, for a workshop on using natural materials, specifically English Ivy, to weave baskets and other crafts in a workshop designed for everyone.

Preparation: Bring yourself and a positive attitude!

We provide: An outstanding instructor, rubber-palmed gloves, hand pruners, and educational fun for the whole family.

Activity info: All participants must register for the event, which will be capped at 20 students to ensure plenty of attention to each and tools for everyone.

This activity takes place outdoors in the open air, and we have lots of room to spread out, but may need to be within a few feet of each other to demonstrate basket-making techniques. Masks and vaccination are not required for this activity. However, we require volunteers to stay home when feeling any symptoms of illness (regardless of COVID-19 test result) and fully support participants’ choice to wear a mask if desired.
