Carry the Weight – RUCK22 2021 with Love is King
We’re calling on all mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters, and the entire community to stand beside our veterans!
We invite you to walk and carry the weight of 22lbs in remembrance of our brothers and sisters, raising awareness of veteran suicide prevention. Every day, 22 veterans lose their battles to post-traumatic stress on American soil–one veteran every 65 minutes commits suicide in the United States.
The RUCK 22 Veteran Suicide Awareness (#RUCK22) Walk is the advocacy action and natural coming together of the community in solidarity to raise awareness and stop veteran suicide. Join us on Veteran’s Day, November 11th, 2021 from 9:00 – 13:00 in Forest Park to participate in the RUCK22, a 2.2 mile walk/run, and connect with fellow supporters to help raise awareness of veteran suicide!
Bring your ruck (backpack) and add your weight, 22lbs or more!
This is not a veteran’s issue; it’s a community issue!
Location: Leif at Germantown Trailhead. Forest Park, Portland, OR
Time: Thursday, November 11th; 9:00am
