Friday Trails Work Party, May 21st, 2021
This is a special trails work party, where FPC will be moving materials for construction on the Ancient Forest trail. We encourage all interested volunteers to come out and join us, but this work party will require volunteers to be comfortable moving 20 – 30 lbs of materials.
Join us in helping make Forest Park accessible and protecting the long term health of the trails!
When: Friday, May 21st, 9am to 12pm.
What: Moving materials into the Ancient Forest for future construction projects
Where: The location will be emailed to all participants the week of volunteering. Parking is limited. Carpooling encouraged!
Pack plenty of water and dress for all weather conditions. Long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required for your safety. All training, tools and work gloves will be provided. In recent years, Forest Park has seen an uptick in bee activity, if you have any allergies, please bring medications in case of emergency!
Additionally, FPC will continue to abide by the Oregon Health Authority guidelines, and we ask that all participants follow our policy guidelines found here. All participants will be asked to wear a mask and remain 6ft from any other participant group, and FPC will make every effort to provide materials to keep participants safe and healthy!
