Forest Park Rapid Responders Training – Saturday, February 22nd

With more than 80 miles of trail, maintaining the health of Forest Park requires a special group of volunteers consistently monitoring and reporting conditions on the ground. FPC’s Rapid Response Team walks, hikes, and runs the forest, reporting downed trees, invasive species, and other trail problems, throughout the summer and winter.

We need your help, particularly during the winter when inclement weather is at its worst! If you’re interested in helping us protest the trails and provide the fastest maintenance and support to Forest Park, become a member of our Rapid Response Team!

Rapid Responders will be trained on all the basics of the program, be put into teams and given routes to monitor, and by the end of the training be able to identify problems on the trails.

  • Where: Zoom, to be emailed to all participants
  • When: Saturday, October 16th, 10:00am – 12:30pm. Please note that there will be a 15-20 minute break mid-training, and it’s possible we may finish slightly early.

If you have any questions regarding the training, please contact our Stewardship Manager, Zac Peal.

If you’re unable to attend this or the training on October 15th, please let Zac know!
