Wildwood Welcome Party: Birding in Forest Park with Always Be Birdin’

A Celebration of Trees, Trails and Community

The Wildwood Welcome Party is an event focused on bringing together communities from all around Portland for a two-day event full of inclusive activities, where participants can choose from a variety of unique experiences and engage with Forest Park in ways that are fun, and relevant for them. Click here to see everything going on June 17-18th! All events are free (thanks to support from our friends at Nike!) and open to all ages.

About Birdin’ in Forest Park

Join FPC and Sam Dejarnett, bird expert and host of the Always be Birdin podcast, on a guided hike through Forest Park. This will be a casual 2-mile hike starting and stopping at Aspen Trailhead. The experience will be tailor-made for people interested in birding in parks and natural areas who might not have much prior experience.

Come enjoy a great time outdoors, learn about the birds of Forest Park, and meet some new people.

Bring a pair of binoculars if you have them, and remember to dress appropriately for the weather. We will be meeting at the Aspen Trailhead.

Alternative Transportation Encouraged and Rewarded
