The Wildwood Welcome Party is an event focused on bringing together communities from all around Portland for a two-day event full of inclusive activities, where participants can choose from a variety of unique experiences and engage with Forest Park in ways that are fun, and relevant for them. About the Summer Light Photo Hike
Join local professional photographer Dan Hawk, along with staff from Forest Park Conservancy and Pro Photo Supply, for a casual evening photo hike to take advantage of the beautiful summer light.
You are invited to bring your camera, whether it be a professional-grade camera, a classic film camera, or even your phone, to hike along with us and capture unique images in the forest. Don’t have a camera but want to join us? Pro Photo Supply has a full rental department with plenty to choose from! We welcome you to join us regardless of your hiking or photography abilities.
Dan Hawk will provide tips and tricks out on the trail during the event for getting the best shots in summer lighting. Additionally, one week later Forest Park Conservancy will host an optional photo critique session to go over everyone’s best shots from the night.
We will be meeting at the Lower Macleay trailhead at Lower Macleay Park, 2960 NW Upshur St, Portland, OR 97210, USA

Alternative Transportation Encouraged and Rewarded
