A Guided Walk with Vive NW & Post 58 – November 13th

Join us for this casual walk through Forest Park with FPC’s partners Post 58 & Vive NW, as we discuss the intersections of human activity with green spaces, how we can better steward public lands, and learn from one another.

This walk is open to the public, but FPC is working to create spaces for those who find accessing Forest Park difficult or are newer to these spaces. By partnering with Post 58 and Vive NW, we hope to encourage more youth leaders and members of the Latinx community to see themselves in Forest Park, as both user and owner of this wonderful public space. Bring friends & family! All are welcome!

Location : Leif Erikson at Thurman Trailhead. Parking is limited. Please carpool when possible, and plan to park in the neighborhood, walking to the trailhead!
Time: Saturday, November 13th; 11:00am – 2:00pm

Gear: Dress for the weather and remember to wear close-toed shoes! Also, if you need a snack or water, please remember to bring your own. We understand that this event runs through lunch time, so some participants may want to bring a bag lunch to eat after the hike.

Safety Protocol: All participants must register for the event. Masks are encouraged, though not required, and everyone must maintain six-foot distance from any other pod, anyone not attending together! For more information, please consult our Health and Safety Guidelines.

If you have any questions, please email our Stewardship Manager Zac Peal.
