FPC Shares Trails Expertise in Green Jobs Training Program

Last week, the Forest Park Conservancy partnered with Tualatin Riverkeepers and their Green Jobs Training Program. This program gets participants out in the field with professionals from various local environmental conservation agencies, and we are so glad that FPC was included as their June partner! On Wednesday evening, our Trails Manager Ingry gave a classroom presentation about the basics of trail design; on Saturday, she hit the Lower Macleay Trail with the program participants and they learned about how important a well-maintained brushing corridor is to the overall sustainability of Forest Park’s trails. We did some good work together and we wish everyone the best of luck on their career path!

Forest Park Conservancy’s Ingry teaches the basics of trails maintenance with the Green Jobs Training participants.

The participants hit the trails on Forest Park’s Lower Macleay Trail and apply what they learned in the classroom.
