Stewardship Health & Safety Guidelines
We ask that all stewardship participants read and abide by the following guidelines:
General Trail Safety Guidelines
- Please arrive at all events 5 - 10 minutes prior to start time. Our staff will go over safety protocols, and we want to ensure that participants receive adequate instruction on the trails.
- Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress appropriately to the weather.
- Bring any medications you may need while on the trails (e.g. while our staff provide first aid materials we do not have EpiPens).
- Bring sunscreen, bug spray, and any other comforts you may need while volunteering in the forest.
- Be prepared to hike 1 - 3 miles while volunteering.
- Whenever possible, we encourage you to carpool with your volunteer group.
When necessary, staff will provide additional masks and sanitizing supplies for anyone requesting these materials.
Safety protocols are subject to the designated staff or volunteer leader in the field. Participants that violate the established protocols or who ignore the designated leader may be asked to leave and barred from future activities.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Stewardship Manager.
