Join Our New Grants and Events Planning Committees

Mikey BrooksUncategorized

Forest Park Conservancy depends on volunteers in many ways to help us achieve our goals and advance our mission. Right now, more than ever before, we need for volunteers to help with event planning as well as reviewing and/or helping write grants. We are organizing new, special committees for FPC Members to engage and volunteer in this unique and much-needed way.

FPC Committees are composed of people who volunteer their time and expertise to us. They help support our work by providing feedback and their professional experience to help guide our work to be even more successful.

Grant Writing Committee

Grants are an important source of revenue for FPC, but sometimes staff are unable to write and submit as many grants as they would like due to capacity. This committee would work closely with program managers to help research, write and/or review grants for our different programs. The commitment for this would average 3-4 hrs/month.

Events Planning Committee

This year we are planning several events to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the park and the 30th anniversary of the Ancient Preserve. We also plan to host several donor dinners and other events throughout the year. This committee will work closely with development staff to design, plan and execute events. The commitment for this committee can vary depending on a person’s availability, with the minimum commitment required being approximately 3-4 hrs/month.
