Join FPC, Portland Arc’teryx, Fleet Feet, KEEN, Portland Running Co., and Territory Run Co. in running or hiking this year’s five Nasty routes! Four routes will be located in Forest Park and one route will be located in Marquam Nature Park. The Nasty routes are challenging courses utilizing the hills, technical trails, and fire lanes that are not commonly used. It’s a great way to learn some new trails, as well as a fun way to get to know Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park.
Additionally, participating in the Nasty Challenge helps us raise crucial funds to conduct our work in the parks! Entering the Nasty Challenge requires a $35 donation, which contributes to our $7,500 fundraising goal. We also have great prizes for the top fundraisers. If your peer-to-peer fundraising campaign raises over $100, you will get a special Nasty Challenge hat from Territory Run Co.!
Participants will have from Sunday, November 9th to Saturday, March 7th to finish running or hiking their routes. During this time, we encourage you to do your best and strive for a good time, whether that is reaching a new personal best or having an excuse to listen to Taylor Swift’s latest album!
Throughout the challenge, the five running stores we are partnered with will be hosting group runs, with each store hosting one run per month. This is a great opportunity to get out, meet with the local running community, and hit the trails together!
