Leif Erikson at Thurman Trail Head

Here at the Leif Erikson Trailhead on Thurman Lane, you’ll be able to walk, run, or bike up Thurman Lane, discovering Forest Park while traveling over one of the most popular routes. You’ll be able to appreciate the slight incline over the next 10.3 miles or cut off at one of the many popular connector trails along the way.

You’re .3 miles from the Wild Cherry Trail, .9 miles to the Dogwood Trail, and 1.4 miles to the Alder Trail. You can reach the Wildwood Trail by hiking west on any of these connectors, creating loops of varying experiences. You can expect 250 - 550ft of elevation gain, depending on the route you create for yourself!
