Staff Update

Forest Park ConservancyUncategorized

In February, we say goodbye to Lisa Slupianek, our Trails Manager. Lisa is moving to Coeur D’Alene, Idaho with her partner. As a great leader for our trails program, Lisa planned and implemented numerous trails projects and led volunteer work parties. Her easy-going, hands-on approach to trail work and leadership is naturally magnetic. Lisa fostered many close relationships with volunteers, staff, and partners as she helped FPC increase its work repairing and maintaining the trails in Forest Park. We will miss Lisa’s enthusiasm and expertise.

Under Lisa’s tenure, the trails of Forest Park were much improved. Last year, she led work on the Wildwood Trail between Wild Cherry and Dogwood, a large project near Springville Road, a huge reroute around a landslide near Ridge Trail, and she spearheaded the planning and field work on the new trail in our Ancient Forest Preserve. Through all these projects and more, her time with FPC will have a lasting impact!

All of us at FPC wish Lisa all the best on her next adventure. If you want to send her a goodbye shout-out, email her at lisa@forestparkconservancy.org.
