Stewardship Update: FPC’s Most Successful Brushing Season to Date!

Forest Park ConservancyUncategorized

We have been hard at work over the summer brushing the trails in Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park. Thanks to all of the volunteers who worked with us this past season, 2025 is our most successful brushing season to date! In total, we brushed 51.91 total miles in both parks! That’s over 15 miles more than we have accomplished in any previous season!

The support of our dedicated volunteers made this achievement possible. Since May, 421 volunteers contributed 1,746.3 volunteer hours to help brush the trails! Thanks to their contributions, our trails are better protected from erosion and more accessible to trail users! If you volunteered with us during the past season, know that you contributed to something amazing.

With the brushing season concluded, we hope that you will join us for our fall restoration season! If you want to get involved with our restoration efforts, now is a great time! You can join us this weekend on Saturday, September 27th for National Public Lands Day or on Saturday, October 25th for No Ivy Day. We will be removing invasive species from Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park in order to support native species.
