Exploring the Trails
Over 80 miles of trails. 19 treadheads. A lot to see.
Welcome to Forest Park! Forest Park is the largest urban park in the United States. Here You can run, hike, and bike throughout the more than 5,200 acres and over 80 miles of trails!
Forest Park is stewarded today by Forest Park Conservancy, Portland Parks and Rec and other partner organizations, and our wonderful volunteers and community, accomplishing thousands of restoration and trails work hours each year.
However, while we work tirelessly to protect and restore Forest Park each year, we recognize the invaluable contributions of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many others, who made their homes along the Columbia River.
These original stewards of Forest Park inspire us to continue this work, pushing to restore the land while committing to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
